Selfi Yamma Becomes DA Asia 6 Commentator, Ralova Asked Not to Be Angry

Kapanlagi.com - Selfi Yamma has been selected as a commentator in the Dangdut Academy Asia (DA Asia) 6 talent search event, which will be held by Indosiar starting from June 20, 2023. Selfi will be a commentator alongside Soimah, Nassar, Dewi Perssik, Denada, DJ Daffy (Brunei), Siti Rachmawati (Turkey), Fildan Rahayu, Reza Zakarya, Rojer Kajor (Malaysia), Ammy Fara (Thailand), Maria Victoria (East Timor), Sheer Angullia (Singapore), and Hannah Precillas (Philippines).

When announcing Selfi as a commentator, Harsiwi Achmad, as the Director of Programming at SCM, asked Ralova, the nickname for Lady Rara's fans, not to be angry.

"There's Selfi who will be a commentator, Ralova don't be angry. There will definitely be a time for you," said Harsiwi Achmad teasing Rara at the DA Asia 6 press conference at the SCTV Tower, Jakarta, on Friday (16/6/2023).

When tempted by Harsiwi Achmad, Rara who was present at the event immediately responded. "Oh yes, I am patiently waiting," said Rara.

"Even though I have cleared my off-air schedule for DA Asia 6," continued Rara while laughing.

Rara and Selfi both participated in the talent search competition Liga Dangdut Indonesia (LIDA) in 2018. At that time, Selfi became the champion and Rara became the runner-up. They were also chosen to represent Indonesia in the Dangdut Academy Asia (DA Asia) 1 competition. At that time, Selfi became the champion and Rara became the runner-up.

When asked about not being selected as a commentator for DA Asia 6, Rara said she was not sad. Because Indosiar also involved her in the event, as a mentor for participants at the dormitory.

"No (I'm not sad)," she said while laughing. "Being a mentor at the dormitory, I am happy to be involved," she said.

Meanwhile, Selfi Yamma said she was happy to be involved as a commentator in DA Asia 6. "Thank God for this opportunity. Selfi never thought she would be chosen as a commentator. Hopefully, Selfi can fulfill this trust," said Selfi.
