Single Religi Ikke Nurjanah with a Pop Rhythm, What Is It Like?

Many singers in the month of Ramadan invite goodness through rhythm by releasing religious music. Including Ikke Nurjanah. The dangdut singer known for the song Memandangmu is also not left behind in enlivening the religious music scene in the country by releasing a religious single titled Berbisik ke Bumi Didengar oleh Langit. What is this song like?

The song, created and arranged by the sibling duo musicians Rento Saky and Hendro Saky, has a profound message for us as humans to always surrender, pray, and remember Allah SWT in every situation we are experiencing.

"Initially there were two titles offered, Hati yang Berzikir (Heart that Remembers) or Berbisik ke Bumi Didengar oleh Langit (Whispering to Earth Heard by Heaven). In the end, I chose Berbisik ke Bumi because its meaning is very profound. From its language, I think it's not only unique in terms of its words but also deep, just whispering, Allah listens. Something simple but sometimes we don't care. Hopefully, this song can always remind us of Allah, both in happiness and sorrow," said Ikke Nurjanah in Jakarta recently.

Unlike Ikke's other songs, Berbisik ke Bumi Didengar oleh Langit (Whispering to Earth Heard by Heaven) is apparently not a dangdut song. Ikke also explained why she changed her musical direction for this song.

"So far, I always make it in dangdut version, suddenly in this moment I got a different material. Usually, even pop songs I can turn into dangdut. Only in terms of music and the composer, he asked me to be myself, but the dangdut style is still there, my feel as a dangdut singer doesn't disappear. It's just that the pop element is more prominent, yes. It's like slow pop, so it can be more solemn," she said.

Although it's not in dangdut rhythm, the song Berbisik ke Bumi Didengar oleh Langit which has been released since April 19th on various digital music platforms, Ikke admitted that she received positive responses from music lovers in the country.

"Alhamdulillah. Personally, I see the response on my YouTube channel, they don't see it (as dangdut or pop genre). They prioritize the meaning of this song. How they are carried away in a religious atmosphere that touches their hearts. They don't demand a genre, but they feel this song because it touches their hearts," said the 45-year-old singer.
