Still About the Controversy of Dewi Perssik's Sacrificial Cow, Here's the Explanation from the Local RT Chairman

Kapanlagi.com - The controversy over Dewi Perssik's sacrificial cow with the local RT chairman, Malkan, is still in the spotlight. This is because the singer from Jember claimed that her sacrificial animal was rejected by the local RT chairman.

Therefore, the two of them met to mediate the issue. However, an unpleasant incident occurred when it was alleged that disrespectful words were said by the RT chairman to Dewi Perssik.

When met after the mediation at Babul Khoirot Mosque, Cilandak, South Jakarta, on Thursday (29/6), Malkan explained the initial chronology of being accused of rejecting the sacrificial animal entrusted by Dewi Perssik.

1. Surprised and Offended

Not only that, Malkan also explained how Dewi Perssik's house assistant suddenly entrusted a cow and then a few hours later the cow was taken back.

Because of this, Malkan admitted that he was both surprised and offended. In the beginning, he received information that the cow and goat would be sacrificed at the mosque.

"If something like that happened to me, what would I do? If there was a cow that was entrusted to you, then suddenly taken back, how would you feel? It feels bad, like 'What's going on? Why doesn't anyone believe me?'"," said Malkan.

2. No Communication

Finally, Malkan chose to release his responsibility reluctantly for taking care of Dewi's sacrificial cow entrusted to the mosque. He also refused to move Dewi's cow from the mosque to another place.

Malkan also mentioned that he didn't want to help move the cow even though Dewi Perssik gave him up to Rp100 million. And this is what made the situation even more heated.

"If she needed it, she should have communicated. She didn't communicate when she wanted to entrust it, and suddenly she wanted to take it back without communication. Putting it here and asking us to take care of it, isn't that a form of empathy? If you say I refused, how did I refuse? If it's about trust, please ask the residents, let them answer," he said.

3. Wishing for a Quick Resolution

Furthermore, when asked further, Malkan hopes that this issue can be resolved quickly. According to him, Idul Adha is a sacred moment for Muslims, and incidents like this should not happen.

"I want this to be resolved quickly because Idul Adha is a sacred day for me. The slaughtering of animals is a reflection that we still have animalistic traits that need to be eradicated from ourselves. So I don't want to be a human, but still possess animalistic traits," he concluded.
