Stinking Rich, The Reason Behind Lesti's Humble Attitude and Being Herself

Kapanlagi.com - Lesti is known as a dangdut singer who comes from a humble family. This simplicity still sticks with her until now even though Lesti has become one of the top dangdut singers in the country.

Lesti's journey in pursuing her career was not easy. She had to fight against her longing for her parents. Following the audition for Dangdut Academy's first season turned out to be Lesti's first experience away from her parents.

"Just imagine, Dede (Lesti) had no experience at all, Dede had never been to Jakarta. And while Dede had never been away from her parents, never gone anywhere alone. Even for school events, Dede's parents would come along," said Lesti on KapanLagi On Air on Friday (18/3).

"So Dede had to be alone, independent, with no relatives in Jakarta. It was quite difficult because at that age, Dede had to live in Jakarta without her parents. But it was safe because Dangdut Academy Indosiar provided quarantine," continued Lesti.

1. Still Like a Dream

Lesti apparently still can't believe her journey in the dangdut music world until now.

"Ehm, Dede (Lesti) when talking about her career journey, she tends to be a little emotional because she still feels like 'Oh my God, it still feels like a dream', especially now that she's married and has children," said Lesti.

2. Always Give the Best

Lesti is also known as a dangdut singer who always goes all out in her stage performances and works. She is grateful for still being given the opportunity to enliven the dangdut music scene in the country. 

"As long as God still gives me the chance, my career will remain the same and there are many people who love me. So, I hope that I can always give my best for the dangdut music industry," said Lesti.

3. Having Many Plans After Winning D'Academy Season One

Lesti reminisces a bit about when Dede became the champion of Dangdut Academy 1. After being declared as the champion, Lesti with her innocence wanted to do a series of things.

"After Dangdut Academy, Dede's innocent thought was, Dede wants to have a song, wants to have an album, Dede wants to have a concert, things like that. Well, at that age, Dede said to Father, 'Dad, Dede wants to have a song, wants to have an album.' Having a song was achieved because Kejora was a gift song from Dangdut Academy, so finally had various songs," she said.

"After that, Dede just wanted to have an album, wanted to have a concert because what is called a journey or a real struggle is not when Dede fought in Dangdut Academy, but whether Dede could maintain Dede's career or not, whether Dede could consistently create, like that," continued Lesti.

4. Simple Attitude and Being Yourself

Despite being very rich now, the attitude of simplicity and being oneself makes Lesti so beloved by her fans. Apparently, it is advice from her father.

"So, really, it was my father who thought about it first, like 'Oh, this little sister has to stay humble, stay true to herself, be good to people, and if she still stays good, knows her limits, stays humble, and stays true to herself, more and more people will love her,'" she concluded.
