Through the Single 'You', Kristina Returns to Enliven Indonesian Dangdut Music

Kapanlagi.com - Dangdut singer Kristina finally returns to enliven the domestic music industry after a long hiatus by releasing a single titled You. The single marks Kristina's comeback.

The song You, which was also performed by the late Meggy Z, is the first step for Kristina who is currently preparing song materials for her upcoming mini album.

"I just want to create good works and sing until old age," said Kristina in a virtual interview, Monday (28/9).

When deciding to return to the world of singing, Kristina understands very well that the industry has changed a lot. There are now many new talented dangdut singers.

This poses its own challenges for Kristina, considering that she is no longer young. "The main capital to be a singer is mental strength, courage, and self-confidence. Let's create together even though each singer has their own market and segment," she said.

2. Combining Dangdut with Contemporary Music

Although she admits to liking classical dangdut, Kristina still acknowledges the popularity of current dangdut music. Therefore, both elements will be present in her upcoming singles.

"I actually miss singing old dangdut songs, classical dangdut. Dangdut songs are timeless. But I combine classical dangdut with a touch of contemporary music," concluded Kristina.
