Via Vallen went viral after posting a confession about the struggle of being the first child who becomes the backbone of the family and supports her siblings. Via Vallen admitted to being upset because she felt her money was being exploited.
Afterwards, on Saturday (17/12), Via Vallen tried to answer some questions from netizens and also spoke up about her current relationship with her siblings.
In her caption, Via Vallen admitted that the confession was an old story before she got married. Chevra Yolandi's wife also no longer gives monthly allowance to her siblings for a long time.
Via actually feels guilty for providing facilities to her younger siblings. "I facilitated, but it turns out I actually led them astray. They became complacent because they felt it was enough," Via wrote.
This 31-year-old dangdut singer wants to break the stigma that the first child has to bear the burden of the family. According to Via, the first child's duty is only to provide capital.
"What we need to do is provide the hook and bait, not the fish. If they have been given the hook and bait (capital) and they are still the same, let them experience the outside world," she said.
"They must have the willingness to progress, be willing to learn and work hard. Let them know how difficult it is to earn money and the meaning of responsibility," she added.
Via Vallen then speaks up about her relationship with her siblings.According to Via, she and her siblings now have a good relationship. Via is also happy that her siblings have become more responsible.
"The situation with my siblings is good now. They have changed for the better, growing up to be responsible individuals. They respect me as their older sister who has been the backbone of the family," she continued.
