After 2 Years of Hiatus, Indonesian Fashion Week (IFW) 2022 Will Finally Be Held Offline

Kapanlagi.com - After the commotion surrounding Fashion Week, there is good news for the Indonesian fashion industry. After a two-year hiatus, Indonesian Fashion Week (IFW) 2022 will finally be held offline. Indeed, since the Covid-19 pandemic entered Indonesia, the annual event has not been held.

"This is a good start to rise again from the slump for 2 years. So we need as much support as possible from stakeholders and the government," said Poppy Dharsono, General Chairman of APPMI and President of IFW 2022, on Tuesday (29/3).

When met at JCC Senayan, Central Jakarta, Poppy was grateful that the government had relaxed the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM).

1. Previously Held Virtually

Previously, IFW was held virtually. However, Poppy stated that the enthusiasm was low, perhaps because people were still used to seeing it in person. Nevertheless, the committee will still hold the IFW event virtually, considering that the number of visitors will be limited.

"I want to bring back IFW, which was interrupted for 2 years. We tried to create a buzz in 2020 with a virtual event, but it didn't happen. That's why we didn't hold it in 2021 either. We will loosen up in 2022 and it can be held again," she said.

IFW 2022 will be held on April 13-17, 2022 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). It is hoped that the event can bring a new spirit to encourage SME players to rise again.

"We have already started selling tickets now to avoid overcrowding. They are sold for 20,000 rupiah and will be divided into 2 slots each day, namely slot 1 from 10.00-15.00 and slot 2 from 16.00-21.00 through Tokopedia," she concluded.
