Anti Cyber-Bullying Campaign à la Kate Middleton-Prince William

Prince William and Kate Middleton participated in the Anti-Bullying Week campaign. Specifically, after attending Prince Charles' 70th birthday celebration at Buckingham Palace. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge came to the BBC on Thursday (15/11/2018) to take part in this campaign. William himself is a member of the Taskforce in cyber-bullying prevention.

This week, Kate and Will indeed have a quite packed tandem agenda. Several visits have to be completed in close proximity.

Kate appeared simple with a long dress accentuated with pleats at the bottom. She completed her appearance with her signature hairstyle and a pair of black shoes.

Kate never hesitates to reuse her clothes. Like this dress that she previously wore during a visit to the Centre for Addiction Treatment in 2015 and during her visit to New Zealand in 2014.

Both of them met with young people who started this campaign with the video 'Stop, Speak, Support'. This slogan serves as the first guideline when encountering online bullying.

This movement itself initially started from a young person and has now become the Anti-Bullying Alliance. Kate and Will also met with parents and children who are part of this movement.

Online bullying is indeed quite troubling nowadays. As a result of this bullying, many children become depressed and even commit suicide.  Prince William also discussed his concerns about the spread of fake news. As well as the number of young people trapped in the standards of social media-driven life.

"You have started an incredible social movement. Surely you can fight against intolerance and cruelty that you have brought to the surface," said Prince William.

"You have also included families that were previously unthinkable. The involvement of parents in creating a safe online world for their children," concluded William.
