Beauty Guru Nikkie Tutorials Admits She is a Transgender, Fans Shocked and Disbelieving

In a video titled 'I'm Coming Out.' released on Tuesday (14/1), Nikkie Tutorials, whose real name is Nikkie de Jager, revealed that she was born as a baby boy. However, since the first day she was born into this world, she has felt like a woman.

"Planet Earth is so full of labels. And I have never felt comfortable with labels. I want to be myself, with my own identity, a human being without being dictated, without labels, and without limitations. This is a new year, 2020, and I want to start this year with honesty," said Nikkie.

With a trembling voice and teary eyes, Nikkie Tutorials finally revealed, "When I was young, I was born in the wrong body. Which means, I am transgender."

"Recording this video is a scary thing for me, but I also feel truly free and relieved. Actually, I wanted to share this with you all for a long time, but I never knew when the right time (to come out) would be," she added.

2. Affirming Herself as the Same Person

Not stopping there, Nikkie also emphasized that she won't change after this. Even though the whole world now knows that she is transgender, Nikkie remains NikkieTutorials, who has entertained fans for 11 years as a YouTuber.

"I am NikkieTutorials, and I am Nikkie. I am myself. We don't need labels. But, if you want a label, yes, I am indeed transgender. But in the end, I will still be me. And in the end, you will still be you," Nikkie firmly stated.

Nikkie's confession certainly shocked and disbelieving her fans. Over the past 11 years on YouTube, Nikkie has always been known as a woman, a makeup enthusiast who always creates amazing tutorials with her magical hands.

Within 14 hours of being uploaded, Nikkie's confession video has been viewed over 14 million times. Despite feeling shocked and unable to believe it, various support flooded the comments section on YouTube and Nikkie's social media accounts on various platforms.
