In response to the report, Zayn Malik issued a statement on his Twitter account on October 28, where he attempted to refute the claims on behalf of creating a safe space for his daughter and Gigi, Khai.

"In an effort to protect Khai's privacy, I agree not to contest claims arising from an argument I had with a member of my partner's family who entered our home while my partner was away a few weeks ago," Zayn wrote in his statement.

Zayn went on to express his hope that Yolanda would consider resolving this matter privately. He emphasized through his social media account that he does not want his personal issues to become public.

"This is a personal matter but it seems that for now there is a divide, despite my efforts to restore a peaceful state that allows me to co-parent my daughter in a dignified manner. It has leaked to the public."
