She does not remember what happened around her during those full 20 days. How she woke up in the hospital, in a condition where she did not recognize her own body. At that moment, Jamie felt as if something was very wrong with her and what she was experiencing was not normal.

Jamie then recounted that the first time she was taken to a doctor in Atlanta, who only gave her a medication injection and sent her home. However, her sister, Deidra Dixon, was not satisfied with that initial diagnosis.

Deidra felt that something was wrong and she continued to take Jamie to another hospital in Piedmont, where the correct diagnosis was finally found. There, the doctor revealed the bitter truth that Jamie had suffered a brain hemorrhage that led to a stroke.

The presence of her sister became one of the crucial factors that saved Jamie, and she ultimately underwent surgery to address the bleeding in her brain.

2. The Long and Painful Recovery Process
