Lifetime Trauma, Iconic Scenes from 'FINAL DESTINATION' from Exploding Planes to Collapsing Bridges

FINAL DESTINATION: BLOODLINES, the sixth film in the FINAL DESTINATION franchise, is ready to entertain movie lovers. Directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, and featuring the return of William Bludworth (Tony Todd) to unravel the mystery of the intertwining deaths that have only been whispers until now.

While waiting for the screening of BLOODLINES, let's reminisce about some iconic scenes from the previous FINAL DESTINATION films. Do you have a favorite?

The Final Destination franchise, since its debut in 2000, is known for leaving a deep trauma imprint on viewers through scenes of disaster premonitions and unexpected death sequences. Rather than relying on a killer figure, this franchise places Death as an invisible antagonist that pursues survivors after they manage to escape initial calamities.

Tension is created from everyday details that turn into deadly tools, ranging from iron chains, hair curlers, to neon signs, keeping viewers holding their breath every time the screen highlights ordinary objects. Next, let's discuss memorable scenes from FINAL DESTINATION.

The flight premonition in FINAL DESTINATION (2000). Alex Browning dreams of a plane exploding in mid-air, followed by several passengers trapped in the wreckage of the violently exploded plane on the runway. Some who got off are safe.

Six months later after Carter Horton was killed by a falling neon board from a high building. This serves as a reminder that 'safe conditions' after surviving a previous plane crash are merely an illusion.

In FINAL DESTINATION 2 (2003), the Wooden Truck scene (Route 23 pile up) becomes a memory. Kimberly Corman prevents a major accident, but industrial wood is thrown, splitting a victim's body.

Still in the same movie, to save Isabella Hudson, Kimberly intentionally drowns and then is resuscitated ('new life' rule), showcasing a unique way to cheat Death.

In FINAL DESTINATION 3, the memorable scene is the Devil's Flight Roller Coaster. Here, character Wendy Christensen sees a car derail on the sloped track, killing many people in an explosion and flying debris.

Still in the third film, the Tanning Bed to Coffin scene is really traumatic. Wendy's two friends die burned when the tanning bed explodes, a scene that still makes viewers hesitant to enter beauty salons to this day.

In the 2009 film THE FINAL DESTINATION, the McKinley Speedway Crash is truly memorable. Nick O'Bannon dreams of a total destruction of the racetrack, then debris hits the audience, including concrete rubble crashing into the stands.

In the fifth film released in 2011, the collapse of the North Bay bridge is very memorable. Sam Lawton stops the bridge from collapsing, but fate is not done as several friends are thrown into the abyss before realizing that 'death can be borrowed'.

So for those of you who want to watch FINAL DESTINATION according to the story timeline, it starts with Final Destination 5 (2011): a prequel that ends with the explosion of Flight 180, Final Destination (2000): the original story of Flight 180 and the first harbinger, Final Destination 2 (2003): a continuation one year after the first film, Final Destination 3 (2006): rolling out the concept of photos as death clues, The Final Destination (2009): the return of the harbinger premise at the racetrack, and finally Final Destination: Bloodlines (2025) which combines the old story with the new mystery of Bludworth.
