Who doesn't know Princess Leonor of the Kingdom of Spain? The youngest heir to the throne in Europe is now taking on greater responsibilities on her birthday. On October 31, the Princess of Asturias read her oath to the Spanish constitution.
On her birthday, the future queen of the Kingdom of Spain took her oath of allegiance to the Spanish Constitution. The historic event took place at the Congress of Deputies in Madrid, the capital of Spain.
Accompanied by her parents, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, as well as her younger sister, Infanta Sofia.

The moment Princess Leonor took her oath of allegiance is a new historic milestone for the Kingdom of Spain. She will be the second reigning queen after Queen Isabella II (1833-1868).
After taking the oath, Princess Leonor officially and legally can replace her father for state affairs if the King is unable to attend and automatically becomes the head of state if the King is no longer present.
After taking the oath, Lenor was given a medal, an exclusive Charless III necklace for members of the Spanish royal family, head of state, government and Senate, and signed the second edition of the Congress of Deputies' Book of Honor.
