Mizu - Maya Erskine The main character, a bespectacled female samurai, is played by Maya Erskine. The American-Japanese actress is active in television and has also provided voice work for several films, including SCOOB (2020) as Judy Sakamoto and DC LEAGUE OF SUPER-PETS (2022) as Mercy Graves. She recently starred in the reboot series of Mr. and Mrs. Smith (2023).  

Ise - Stephanie Hsu The actress who also appeared in Marvel Studio's film, SANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS (2021), voices the character Ise, Madame Kaji's confidant. She is sarcastic and very mean, especially to Akemi due to her dislike of the princess. Her latest series is AMERICAN BORN CHINESE (2023), which premiered on May 24th.  

Madame Kaji - Ming-Na Wen Ming-Na Wen voices Madame Kaji, a brothel owner. The brothel she runs is a middle-class business that caters to fetishes and "peculiarities." Although sometimes tough, she offers wisdom and protection to those under her supervision. Klovers must be familiar with this actress, as she has also appeared in Disney films such as MULAN (1998), MULAN II (2014), THE MANDALORIAN (since 2019), and THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT (2021-2022), as well as Marvel Studio series like AGENT OF S.H.I.E.L.D.: DOUBLE AGENT (mini-series 2015) and AGENT OF S.H.I.E.L.D. series (2013-202).  

Ringo - Masi Oka Masi Oka voices the character Ringo, a handless soba maker. Despite being handless, he dreams of becoming a great samurai. He faithfully and energetically follows Mizu to seek revenge. Masi Oka is not only talented in the world of acting but also a skilled digital effects artist. Some famous films he has starred in include the NBC television series HEROES, BULLET TRAIN (2022), THE MEG (2018), and other series like HAWAII FIVE. 

Akemi - Brenda Song Brenda Song fills the voice of the character Akemi, a Princess whose life is the opposite of Mizu's. She is also the fiancee of Taigen, a proud samurai who is trying to establish a ceasefire. Maybe Klovers don't know about Brenda yet, she is of Hmong-Mien and Thai descent. This beautiful actress is the girlfriend of Macaulay Culkin from HOME ALONE movie.  

Seki - George Takei Next is George Takei who voices the character Seki, a wise flyer. Seki is a good and wise servant of Akemi who has spent years raising her. This Japanese-American actor often lends his voice to famous films and animated series such as STAR TREK: THE ORIGINAL SERIES (1966-1969), MULAN (1998), and AVATAR: THE LEGEND OF AANG (2005-2008).  

The Swordmaker - Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as The Swordmaker, also known as Master Eiji. He is a renowned swordsmith. The Swordmaker receives Mizu and becomes a father figure to him while training him in sword-making. This Japanese actor is also a skilled martial artist and director. He has appeared in famous films such as the MORTAL KOMBAT and TEKKEN series, PLANET OF THE APES (2001), and THE LAST EMPEROR (1987).  

Heiji Shindo - Randall Park Actor Randall Park is entrusted with voicing the character of Heiji Shindo, the partner of Abijah Fowler. Heiji is a trader of meat, opium, and weapons. Together with Abijah, they plan to take control of the Shogunate. Actor and comedian Randall Park often appears in films produced by Marvel and DC, Klovers. He will also star in upcoming films from both production houses, THE MARVELS and AQUAMAN AND THE LOST KINGDOM. Previously, he was known for portraying Louis Huang's father in the ABC sitcom, FRESH OFF THE BOAT (2015-2020).  

Taigen - Darren Barnet Finally, there is Darren Barnet who voices the character Taigen, a proud samurai and Princess Akemi's fiancé. He is admired for being unbeatable until Mizu defeats him in the dojo and ruins their engagement. Humiliated by the defeat, he vows to kill Mizu, but they end up trapped in a complicated friendship. Darren Barnet is known for his role in the Netflix series, NEVER HAVE I EVER as Paxton Hall-Yoshida, and he has also provided his voice in the animations SAMURAI RABBIT: THE USAGI CHRONICLES (20220) and SKULL ISLAND (2023).  

Abijah Fowler - Kenneth Branagh The voice actor for the character Abijah Fowler may be familiar to Klovers, as he is Kenneth Branagh. This successful actor and director from Northern Ireland is entrusted with voicing Abijah, Mizu's greatest enemy. Despite being an enemy, he is also a potential father figure for Mizu. Abijah is a wicked and cruel person, as he kills the Shogun in order to open Japan's borders and allow Western influence to thrive there.
