Already Watched More Than 2.4 Million in 3 Days, Here's the Synopsis of the Viral Film 'TILIK'

Kapanlagi.com - TILIK, a short film by young filmmaker from Yogyakarta, suddenly went viral on social media. In fact, since Wednesday (19/8/2020), TILIK and Bu Tejo have entered the trending topic on Twitter.

The film TILIK itself was actually produced since 2018. Under the production house of Ravacana Film and director Wahyu Agung Prasetyo, TILIK has achieved several awards, including Official Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival (JAFF) 2018, Official Selection World Cinema Amsterdam 2018, and Selected Short Film of Piala Maya 2018.

Recently, the film was uploaded by Ravacana Film on YouTube and can be legally watched by the public. As a result, within just 3 days, TILIK has been watched by more than 2.4 million people.

1. Film Synopsis 'Tilik'

Tilik itself, when translated into Indonesian, means visiting. Well, this TILIK film tells the story of a group of mothers who are on their way to visit the Village Head's mother who is currently sick in the hospital.

On the way to the city hospital by truck, the residents start talking about a woman named Dian. Dian herself is a village beauty, and until now she is still single.

The residents then debate about who Dian's future husband will be. And the tilik journey becomes a hot topic of conversation about Dian.  

2. Viral Bu Tejo

Apart from the interesting story that is related to life in Indonesia, another thing that makes the TILIK film viral is the character of Bu Tejo. A wealthy woman in her village, who keeps a lot of gossip to share with the residents.

During the journey, Bu Tejo doesn't stop talking about Dian. She reveals everything about the woman. However, when her husband is bumped by other mothers, Bu Tejo gets angry and starts raging.
