BASE Entertainment Launches Poster and Trailer for the Film 'AKHIRAT: A LOVE STORY', Reveals Release Date

Kapanlagi.com - BASE Entertainment in collaboration with Studio Antelop finally releases the main poster and official trailer of the film AKHIRAT: A LOVE STORY. Not only that, the film starring Adipati Dolken and Della Dartyan also announces the premiere release date of AKHIRAT: A LOVE STORY on December 2, 2021, simultaneously in all cinemas in Indonesia.

In addition, this film is also the debut feature film of Jason Iskandar. A little information, Jason Iskandar himself is a director who is more involved and accomplished in the field of short films.

In the approximately 2-minute trailer, it shows Timur (Adipati Dolken) and Mentari (Della Dartyan) loving each other. However, their love cannot be united due to their beliefs.

One day, they have an accident and move to another world. In this other world, they are given the opportunity to be together forever. But is this opportunity a test or a choice? They have to decide what is best for both of them.

Jason Iskandar said, this fantasy romance film was inspired by conflicts that occur to couples of different beliefs. He saw how these couples have to sacrifice just because of their different beliefs.

"There are many couples who have to sacrifice just because of different beliefs. Then I wondered: 'what if there is a chance for their love in a fantasy world, what decision would we make?' Throughout the story development process, I asked this question to several friends who are in relationships of different beliefs, and their answers became valuable insights for the creative process of AKHIRAT: A LOVE STORY," said Jason Iskandar.

In the film, the audience will be taken to see a different depiction of the world. Here, Jason provides his own representation of the afterlife. With a fantasy romance approach, Jason brings something different.

"Because fantasy stories always make us reflect. I think the power of fantasy stories is to bring the audience into unfamiliar situations, and then make them think: what would they do if they were in the same situation. Would they make the right decision or the opposite? So even though the depiction in this film is fiction and fantasy, we can still reflect on what happens in the real world," he added.

2. AKHIRAT: A LOVE STORY

Jason reveals that this film does indeed talk about love. However, according to Jason, love is not only for partners. So, when talking about love, it means talking about life.

"Love comes in various forms, love for parents, significant others, friends, they all have different manifestations. So when we talk about love, inevitably we also discuss life in general. Because life needs love and the world needs love," said Jason.

The film AKHIRAT: A LOVE STORY is a production by BASE Entertainment in collaboration with Studio Antelope. In addition to starring Adipati Dolken and Della Dartyan, this film also features young stars such as Windy Apsari, Agnes Naomi, Tubagus Ali, Ravil Prasetya, Farhan Rasyid.
