Cast of 'VIRGO AND THE SPARKLINGS' Announced, Adhisty Zara Admits to Being Afraid of Mawar De Jongh

Kapanlagi.com - In September 2019, Joko Anwar, the creative producer of the Jagat Sinema Bumilangit franchise, announced the making of the film VIRGO AND THE SPARKLING, an adaptation of the comic with the same title. During the announcement, Adhisty Zara was introduced as the cast member for the character Riani alias Virgo.

At that time, only Zara was announced as the only cast member. Other actors and actresses for other characters will be sought through the Virgo Talent Search event.

After a long wait, on Friday (17/4/2020), the other cast members were finally announced. Ashira Zamita will play Monica, Riani's college friend and member of the band Virgo And The Sparklings, while Satine Zaneta will play Ussy.

1. Zara is Afraid of Mawar

The rising actress and singer, Mawar De Jongh, is cast as Carmine. This character is portrayed as Virgo's enemy in the comic and film.

Adhisty Zara was surprised and scared when she found out that Mawar was chosen. This is because she idolizes Mawar, whose acting always impresses her.

"We had several readings, and during those readings, I felt the competition with you (in my heart). I'm really scared because I'm a fan of yours," Zara said to Mawar during the live announcement session for the cast of VIRGO AND THE SPARKLINGS on Instagram Cinema XXI's account.

2. Leo's Cast

Then there's Bryan Domani who plays the character Leo. In the comic and film, Leo is portrayed as the guy liked by Riani alias Virgo.

VIRGO AND THE SPARKLINGS has undergone several online reading processes. Unfortunately, the shooting schedule for this action musical drama by Ody C Harahap cannot be determined yet due to the ongoing threat of the coronavirus pandemic.
