Continuously Acting in Horror Films, Singer Sara Fajira: Not Everyone Takes This Genre

Kapanlagi.com - 2021 seems to be the year where the acting performance of Sara Fajira is in the spotlight. In just a few months, the singer has been involved in a mini-series project titled HITAM as well as two feature films, BALADA SEPASANG KEKASIH GILA and KABUT.

Through HITAM and KABUT, Sara Fajira acts in the horror genre. If she is known as an actress specializing in horror, the Surabaya-born woman admits that she is not worried about it.

"If I am later dubbed as a horror genre actress, I am not afraid because I do enjoy watching horror films and it is my favorite genre. I think horror is fun. I feel like horror is a different genre because not everyone takes on this genre," said Sara as quoted by KapanLagi.com® in a virtual conference last Friday.

Although her two works are in the horror genre, Sara is open to taking on other genres. Even if the offer that comes again is for a horror film, the singer of the song Lathi will not mind as long as the story is good.

"If it has to be horror all the time, I don't mind. Besides that, I also want to try something outside of horror, like comedy. Because I want to gain experience in different genres," she said.

In the movie KABUT which airs starting October 8 on the streaming service Klik Film, Sara Fajira is cast as the mysterious character named Mira. According to her, the character she plays is very different from her.

"In the movie KABUT I play a village girl who is awkward around the opposite sex. This is completely opposite to my nature. I'm a bit mischievous. Mira is calm, shy," explained Sara.

Although it is her third acting project to be released, it turns out that Sara actually made her debut in KABUT. In this movie, she learned a lot from Kevin Ardilova who was chosen as her acting partner.

"Sara's first acting was in KABUT, but it was released after HITAM. When Sara worked with me, she had just received the script. Why did I pair Sara with Kevin? So that Kevin could share his experience with Sara. Kevin's first film was with me, that's why I wanted to connect them. I witnessed how Kevin guided Sara," explained Indra Gunawan, the director, on the same occasion.
