Ersya Aurelia Learns Rules and Customs in the Mountains for the Film 'DUSUN MAYIT'

Nita's reckless attitude while climbing the mountain becomes an important point in this film. Ersya explains that Nita's character tends to underestimate the unwritten rules that exist in the mountains because she feels she can do anything, which ultimately leads to disaster for herself and her friends.

"That's because she grew up in a family that spoiled her a lot, so she seems to have a hard time appreciating her surroundings, which eventually makes her a bit reckless and arrogant in the mountains and indifferent to the rules there," she explained further

Ersya admits to finding many valuable lessons after delving into the role of Nita. For her, this film is not just an ordinary horror, but a reminder for climbers or travelers to always prioritize local customs wherever they are.

Ersya realizes that every place has its rules and 'hosts' that must be respected. Social and cultural sensitivity becomes the main point she learns to avoid being an arrogant person when visiting new areas.

"What I take from my character is a lot. One of them is that I sometimes still don't really care about my surroundings," she said.

"Well, that sensitivity is what I eventually learned from Nita, that, oh yes, we also have to realize that wherever we go, there are customs, there are rules that should not be violated, and it would be best for us to know beforehand what customs exist in that place before we go anywhere," Ersya continued.

Although playing an annoying character, Ersya admits there are some personality similarities between herself and Nita in real life. This is what allows her to portray the character very naturally in front of the camera. "Yes, there is. Yes, definitely," concluded Ersya Aurelia.

The film Dusun Mayit is produced by Hitmaker Studios and will be released starting December 31, 2025. In addition to Esya, a number of actors and actresses are involved, such as Amanda Manopo, Randy Martin, and Fahad Haydra.
