Film 'HAMKA & SITI RAHAM VOL 2' Releases Trailer, Involves Three Top Singers in Indonesia

Kapanlagi.com - Film HAMKA & SITI RAHAM VOL 2 has just released its trailer and official poster. In the over 2-minute trailer, the story of Siti Raham, who faithfully supports Buya Hamka in the struggle for independence and preaching, is portrayed with great power.

Directed by director Fajar Bustomi, this film depicts how Siti Raham, with her loyalty, continues to support Hamka even in difficult times, even when Hamka is in prison.

Siti Raham's extraordinary support helps Hamka complete the Tafsir Al-Azhar during his imprisonment. In addition to the profound story, this trailer also involves three famous Indonesian musicians, namely Putri Ariani, Dewa Budjana, and Fadly Padi as the soundtrack contributors.

“This is the first time being part of one of Hamka's film projects, the first time recording together with Putri Ariani, and the first time collaborating with Dewa Budjana,” said Fadly Padi in a press conference in Cibubur, East Jakarta, on Thursday (16/11/2023).

“I am very happy to be part of (the Hamka film), for me, this is a historic moment for a film about a great person and talking about love,” added Fadly.

The song titled Cintaku Untukmu (My Love for You) becomes the soundtrack of the film HAMKA & SITI RAHAM VOL 2. The guitarist of the band GIGI revealed that, actually, the song Cintaku Untukmu has been around for a long time. Initially, the song was made only instrumental, without any lyrics.

2. Putri Ariani as Well

“This song was supposed to be released last year. I originally made this song as an instrumental, if I'm not mistaken, I made it before the pandemic. When I was introduced to Falcon, I sent them the melody of this song and it turned out that the Falcon team had the perfect lyrics,” said Dewa Budjana, in the same occasion.

Then, there is another singer trusted to sing the song Cintaku Untukmu. She is Putri Ariani, the fourth-place winner of America's Got Talent (AGT) 2023. Putri expressed her happiness to be able to contribute to the soundtrack of the film HAMKA & SITI RAHAM VOL 2.

“It feels great to be accompanied by Uncle Dewa Budjana, it's fun because he also gives clear input. Anyway, Putri is very happy,” concluded Putri Ariani.

Just for information, the film HAMKA & SITI RAHAM VOL 2 is starred by a number of famous actors and actresses, such as Vino G Bastian, Laudya Chintya Bella, Alfie Alfandiy, and Anjasmara. The film is planned to be simultaneously screened in all cinemas in Indonesia on December 21, 2023.
