Gala Premiere Film 'DILAN 1983: WO AI NI' Will be Held in Bandung, Famous Musicians Will Perform from Kunto Aji to Juicy Luicy

Not to be outdone, DILAN 1983: WO AI NI, produced by Falcon Pictures, will also hold a gala premiere in the City of Flowers on Sunday (9/6) next. The event will be part of the Dilan Festival held at Paris Van Java mall.

1. Famous Musicians Join the Festivities

The Dilan Festival, which starts at 09.00 WIB, will feature renowned musicians performing in a concert including Kunto Aji, Fariz RM, The Panas Dalam Bank, GGGoenawan, and Juicy Luicy. Muhammad Adhiyat, who plays Dilan, expressed his joy that his film is being promoted so grandly.

"I'm really happy that my film has such a big event with cool performers. Hopefully everything goes smoothly and everyone who attends is happy," said Adhiyat, as quoted from a text message received by KapanLagi.com, on Thursday (6/6).

2. Not a Love Story

As previously reported, the novel and film DILAN 1983: WO AI NI takes place during Dilan's elementary school years. He meets various new characters, including Mei Lien whom he likes. But Pidi Baiq says that this is not a story about love.

"Mei Lien is a Chinese girl. She is a transfer student from Semarang. Dilan likes her, but children cannot date. It's not allowed, and this is indeed not a novel about dating. It's just a typical puppy love amidst the terrifying mystery of shooting incidents," said Pidi, as quoted from a text message received by KapanLagi.com, last Tuesday (7/5).
