Invite Shooting 'HABIBIE & AINUN 3', Hanung Bramantyo Doesn't Know Jefri Nichol is Bound with Falcon Pictures

Kapanlagi.com - Jefri Nichol is sued by Falcon Pictures production house for breach of contract. The 20-year-old actor was supposed to be contracted to act in four films.

Instead of fulfilling his obligations, he instead took part in a project by an outside party. The four titles are DEAR NATHAN: HELLO SALMA, BEBAS, ELYAS PICAL, and HABIBIE & AINUN 3.

1. Not Hanung's Domain

When I found out that HABIBIE & AINUN 3 was a film that Jefri worked on while still tied to Falcon Pictures, Hanung Bramantyo, the director, admitted that he had no idea. Because the matter of involving the actors is no longer his domain.

"Actually, I didn't know all the background. But I saw Jefri as a talented young man, dedicated, polite, so I offered him, 'Jef, do you want to play in the film HABIBIE & AINUN 3?', and he committed with confidence. I didn't know that he actually had a commitment with Mr. Naveen and Ms. Erica from Falcon," said Hanung when met at CGV Cinemas Grand Indonesia, Thamrin area, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (27/2/2020).

2. Overlapping Jobs

Hanung Bramantyo also feels sorry for Jefri Nichol, whose career is currently on the rise but has to face consecutive problems. However, regarding this breach of contract issue, he hopes that the problem will be investigated further.

"I am very disappointed if a young person with potential has a problem that is a breach of contract. That should be investigated, I don't think Jefri did it intentionally, but it could be his previous management that caused the overlapping of jobs. That often happens in our industry now," said the husband of Zaskia Adya Mecca.

3. Exclusive Contract Questions

In the entertainment industry, it is common for promising talents to receive an exclusive contract from only one party. This is mutually beneficial from a business perspective.

"Now my position is also as a producer. So when producing a film, it's not just for one film, but for the whole year. It could be that 20 billion is allocated in a year to be divided among several films, some have three and some have four. Now, if the film has top actors, it will be profitable. Usually, young, fresh, and highly popular actors are contracted first for several titles," he concluded.
