Involved in 'RIKI RHINO' Animation, Hamish Daud Redoes Dubbing Process Because AC Sound is Recorded

Kapanlagi.com - Hamish Daud is involved in an animated film titled RIKI RHINO. He is chosen to voice the character of a rhino named Riki who loses his tusks because they are taken by hunters.

Voicing a character in an animated production is something new for Hamish. However, he agreed to be a part of it not only to gain experience but also because the story offered is very important.

"The purpose of making this film is to educate the current generation about the animal species in Indonesia. Talking about conservation is a heavy topic and not all children will be interested, but presenting it in an animated form will attract them to learn about endangered animals," said Hamish Daud when met at Epicentrum XXI, Rasuna Said area, South Jakarta, on Monday (24/2/2020).

1. Because of the AC Sound

The dubbing process or voiceover can take days. However, specifically for Hamish, he had to repeat the process from the beginning because the first take had the AC sound recorded as well.

"The rhino sound is actually small, not as big as its body. And for this film, I made a rhino sound in the style of Hamish. The sound recording was fun, but I had to repeat it because someone forgot to turn off the AC, so the sound got in, ha ha ha," recalled the husband of Raisa.

2. Out of Voice

Hamish Daud's obstacles did not only come from the AC buzzing sound. But also from the voice running out after being used continuously for several hours.

"The difficult challenge is to maintain the voice. There was a time when it was used for three hours and suddenly my voice ran out, so I drank warm water. After that, it happened again, but after the dubbing process, my voice was really gone. When I got home, I couldn't hear my voice anymore," concluded this father of one.
