Indonesian films 2019
Festival Film Indonesia 2019 will be held soon, with many quality Indonesian films competing. Not only the films are of high quality, but the FFI committee is also better prepared. Lukman Sardi serves as the Chairman of the Committee and Nia Dinata as the Chairman of the Jury Committee.
In addition to these two important positions, FFI has appointed four ambassadors for this year's awards. What are their tasks this year?

This year, FFI will curate short films, documentaries, and animations. For the first time, Festival Film Indonesia has chosen the winners of Piala Citra as FFI Ambassadors. They are Tara Basro, Chicco Jerikho, Laura Basuki, and Gading Marten.
The selection of these four ambassadors is because they have previously won the Citra Award. Laura received it from the film 3 HATI 2 DUNIA 1 CINTA, Chicco from CAHAYA DARI TIMUR, Gading with the film LOVE FOR SALE, and Tara from A COPY OF MY MIND.
Chicco and Tara, who attended the FFI 2019 press conference, expressed their enthusiasm. These two actors, who acted in Jagat Sinema Bumilangit, want the domestic film industry to continue to develop.
"I am very happy to be the face of FFI 2019. We can see the future development of Indonesian films getting better," said Chicco in a press conference in the Dharmawangsa area, South Jakarta, on Monday (23/9/2019).
Tara also admitted to being proud to be appointed as the Ambassador of FFI 2019. However, she feels that she has a responsibility from the role she has taken on.
"You could say there are many responsibilities. One of them is to build awareness, not only among the general public, but mostly among my own generation and younger, about how important FFI is," said Tara when met at the same place.
One of Tara and Chicco's agendas as FFI Ambassadors is to campaign for watching movies in cinemas.
