'LOSMEN BU BROTO' Becomes the First Indonesian Film to Hold a Gala Premiere After Two Years of Pandemic, Proof of the Industry's Revival

Robert Ronny, the producer of Paragon Pictures, expressed his happiness because finally there was a gala premiere for an Indonesian film. It's been two years since a production house dared to hold an event like this.

The gala premiere itself is a special event where actors, actresses, and crew watch the film together with their loved ones before it is released in theaters. The production house also invited filmmakers and entertainment industry professionals to witness their work.

"We are very happy not only because this is the first film from Paragon Pictures. But after two years of the pandemic, we are only now seeing another gala premiere. Long live Indonesian film! I really hope this can be a kick starter for our film industry again. Hopefully, our film industry will rise again after this," said Robert Ronny at Epicentrum XXI, Rasuna Said area, South Jakarta.

Ifa Isfansyah, as one of the directors, hopes that what LOSMEN BU BROTO has done will be followed by other production houses. That Indonesian cinema must rise again.

"This is a film that we made during the pandemic and hopefully it will prove that Indonesian films can continue to rise. This is just the beginning because there will be more Indonesian films that need to be watched in theaters to make Indonesian films more crowded," said Ifa on the same occasion.

LOSMEN BU BROTO is a reboot remake of the legendary 80s series directed and written by Tatiek Maliyati and the late Wahyu Sihombing. It highlights the life of the Bu Broto family in running their inn business full of laughter and tears.
