Michelle Ziudith has finally dared to step out of her comfort zone. The actress, who has been closely associated with protagonist roles in romantic drama films, has decided to take on a new challenge by starring in her first horror film titled ALAS ROBAN.

This film marks Michelle's debut in the tension-filled genre. This decision has certainly surprised many fans, considering Michelle's image has been identically linked to sweet and melancholic love stories. However, Michelle has strong reasons behind her bravery in taking on this role.

According to Michelle, the script for Alas Roban offers something different from other horror film proposals that have come her way. The story presented is not just about scaring people, but also has emotional depth that touches the heart

"Because the story being offered is not just a horror story that I have been pitched before. The storyline is very warm," said Michelle when met at a press conference at Epicentrum XXI, South Jakarta, on Monday (5/1/2026).

This 30-year-old woman sees the Alas Roban project as the right momentum to start 2026 with a new spirit. She wants to bring a different color to her career journey in the world of acting.

"So I think this is something that is really worth trying for me in 2026 especially, because it's a new year, a new work, and a new color for me," she explained enthusiastically.

During the filming process, Michelle admitted to gaining a lot of valuable experience. She did not feel burdened, but rather enjoyed every moment of shooting in locations that might be scary for some people.

"So the entire filming experience was very enjoyable and valuable," Michelle said.

Alas Roban itself tells the chilling journey of two main characters, Sita and Gendis, as they traverse the Alas Roban forest area at night. Their journey turns into a terror when Gendis begins to be haunted by a supernatural entity named Dewi Raras.

The conflict escalates when Sita must fight alongside Tika and Supriyanto to save themselves and confront the supernatural disturbances. This film, directed by Hadrah Daeng Ratu with a script by Evelyn Afnilia, is scheduled to be released in theaters starting January 15, 2026.
