Putri Abimana Aryasatya Involved in the Film 'VIRGO AND THE SPARKLINGS', No Nepotism!

Kapanlagi.com - Last Friday, the cast of the superhero film VIRGO AND THE SPARKLINGS which is part of the Bumilangit Cinematic Universe franchise was officially announced. The involvement of Satine Zaneta, the second child of celebrity couple Abimana Aryasatya and Inong Ayu, is one that catches attention.

Satine is trusted to portray the character of Ussy, who is a rich kid and loves classical music. Ussy will later help Riani, also known as Virgo, played by Adhisty Zara, in fighting crime.

1. No Nepotism

The selection of Satine Zaneta to join the cast of the ambitious Bumilangit Cinematic Universe project will certainly be associated with her father. However, director Ody C Harahap dismisses the notion of nepotism.

He and the team from Bumilangit Studios and Screenplay Films made the decision based on various considerations after seeing her talent during the Virgo Talent Search process.

"We still cast Satine and everything. Because what we were looking for was someone with a basic understanding of music, and it's actually quite difficult to find. So, in the end, based on that, we asked her to send a video, then we called her, and we did a proper casting," said Ody when contacted by phone.

2. Intentionally Seeking Fresh Faces

In addition to meeting the desired criteria, Ody C Harahap and his team intentionally sought new faces to liven up the film industry. This allows for a regeneration in terms of acting.

"In the end, well, it turns out that both I and the producer felt that she (Satine) could play the character of Ussy. We wanted someone fresh, to have a new actor. And she (Satine) herself has the enthusiasm for it, so we chose her," concluded the man affectionately known as Ochay.
