'SATRIA DEWA GATOTKACA' Presents a CGI-Driven Pewayangan Superhero

Audiences in the homeland are entertained and made proud with the presence of the film SATRIA DEWA GATOTKACA. Not only presenting a story that is closely related to puppet stories, this film is also said to highlight CGI or visual effects like foreign superhero films.

Through this film, Hanung wants to provide an alternative to superhero films that are currently dominated by Marvel and DC. ""Because when I was a child, I was in a strong traditional environment. There were no superheroes back then, there were only wayang stories like Arjuna, Gatotkaca, Werkudara," said Hanung during a press conference in May.

Hanung's biggest challenge is certainly choosing the main character who not only has a good physical appearance but also must be charismatic.

Hanung's choice fell on Rizky Nazar. He plays as Yuda. He is depicted as having special abilities using the Brajamusti heirloom and then transforming into Satria Dewa Gatotkaca.

Yuda and his mother, Arimbi (Sigi Wimala), hold the key that determines the fate of humans in the war between the Kurawa and Pandawa genes.

The Kurawa genes want to avenge the defeat of their ancestors thousands of years ago. Their main mission is to seize the Brajamusti heirloom. And they are ready to take the life of anyone who gets in their way.

Curious about the mysterious figure who becomes the leader of the Kurawa genes? In the trailer, it is seen that Gatotkaca will have a fierce battle with this figure.

This is the heirloom of Brajamusti Medal, which is the source of power for Satria Dewa Gatotkaca. It is mentioned that only those who have the Pandawa gene can use its power.
