Scenes in the 'MARIPOSA' Trailer and Poster Said to Resemble the Film 'DILAN', Adhisty Zara's Response

Kapanlagi.com - The teenage drama film titled MARIPOSA has just released its official trailer and poster. However, there is a fact that later made the poster and scenes in the trailer resemble the poster and scenes from the film DILAN.

As known, the film DILAN is synonymous with the scene of Dilan and Milea riding a motorcycle in the rain. Also, the poster showing Milea leaning on Dilan's back. These two things are clearly present in the promotional material for MARIPOSA, which is adapted from the bestselling novel by Luluk HF.

1. Compared to Dilan

When asked about it, Adhisty Zara, the main actress of MARIPOSA, answered that it was the decision of the director, Fajar Bustomi. Coincidentally, the same person also directed the DILAN trilogy film.

"If it is compared or if there are similar scenes, it might be the characteristic of Mas Fajar. Because the director of DILAN is Mas Fajar, and I also appeared in that film. I (as Disa) learned from my brother (Dilan)," Zara explained while laughing during the official poster and trailer launch of MARIPOSA at the Falcon Pictures office in Duren Tiga, South Jakarta, on Monday (10/2/2020).

2. Positive Teen Drama

Furthermore, Fajar Bustomi stated that in terms of the story, MARIPOSA is very different from DILAN. In the film that reunites Adhisty Zara with Angga Aldi Yunanda, it focuses more on a positive and sweet high school love story.

"This film is a different kind of teen drama. While most girls fall in love with troublemakers, this one is very positive. It's about two very smart people participating in a science Olympiad. It's not just about love, but also about the educational pattern of families producing smart children. But we can't deny that hormones and liking the opposite sex will arise," said the director who is often seen wearing a hat.
