JIN KHODAM tells the story of Bagas, a man who returns to his hometown after studying at a pesantren. Along with his two friends, Ayu and Hadi, Bagas is determined to restore the social norms in his village.
However, their efforts are met with opposition from the wealthiest person in the village, Wirya. Wirya wants to get rid of Bagas, and he succeeds in killing him. But then, Wirya and his men are shocked to hear the sound of shalawat Asyghil, which is usually recited by Bagas. They become scared when they see Bagas, who is still alive. Since then, terror strikes the village.
Is Ustad Bagas really alive and haunting the villagers, or is it a supernatural being that resembles him?
