Angkasa, a man from Jakarta, is in the darkest period of his life after losing his job, being left by his girlfriend, and mourning the loss of his mother. In an attempt to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, he joins as a volunteer teacher and heads to the Ollon Mountains in Tana Toraja, a quiet area without modern technology.
Life there is not easy. Angkasa meets six students with unique characters: Karno, Harto, Mega, Bambang, Wahid, and Habi, names inspired by the presidents of the Republic of Indonesia. Initially, there is distance and differing viewpoints, but gradually warmth and trust grow.
In the simplicity of the mountains, Angkasa finds the meaning of friendship, sincerity, and the family he thought he had lost. The word "Solata" in Toraja means "friend", emphasizing that true friends can become chosen family.

The shooting process took place in the Ollon Mountains, Tana Toraja, South Sulawesi. Access to the location is very challenging, with the crew and cast having to travel up to three hours from Makale using a cattle truck due to the damaged and steep road conditions. Some production vehicles even suffered damage during the journey.
Director Ichwan Persada has been conceptualizing the story since 2012 with the initial title "Red Heart Song". The inspiration grew stronger after watching the Bhutanese film "Lunana: A Yak in the Classroom", which encouraged him to set the backdrop in Toraja due to its similar landscape and cultural values.
This film not only showcases breathtaking natural panoramas but also involves local residents to explore the values of life in the mountainous community that is rich in wisdom.
