Kapanlagi.com - The movie titled SIKSA NERAKA has been released in theaters across Indonesia since last Thursday (14/12/2023). On the first day of screening, the horror film by Anggy Umbara managed to attract 176,690 viewers.
After six days of screening in theaters, various reactions have emerged from the public. One that caught attention is the circulation of a video of a transgender expressing the desire to repent after watching the movie.
The short video initially shows a transgender person wearing yellow clothes cowering in fear on the cinema floor while watching the movie SIKSA NERAKA (Hell's Punishment). After finishing watching, the transgender person expresses the desire to repent.
"Alhamdulillah today I want to repent. Oh Allah, the punishment of hell is real. Anyway, Baby wants to repent. I don't want to be a transgender again tomorrow," said the transgender person who calls themselves Baby, as quoted from a video circulating on social media.
The viral video reached Anggy Umbara, the director. He hopes that the presence of his latest film can make more people want to become better human beings.
"Alhamdulillah, hopefully more people will repent," commented Anggy on the video upload.
