Virgoun Was Once Accused of Handcuffing His Children, His Sister Gives an Explanation

In response to this, Virgoun's sister, Febby Carol, finally spoke up. She clarified the issue regarding the handcuff key that Inara Rusli presented.

Febby confirmed that Virgoun did use handcuffs to discipline his child. However, she mentioned that the handcuffs used were plastic handcuffs or toy handcuffs.

1. Explanation About the Handcuffs

"I want to clarify about handcuffs. So, yesterday the evidence, the lawyer brought the handcuff key," said Febby Carol when met in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, Wednesday (13/9).

"So, what I want to clarify is this. It is used for children, handcuffs for children. Is it handcuffs for prisoners? Clearly different. Here, handcuffs for children, made of plastic and toys," she continued.

2. Accusing Inara of Violence

Febby Carol also emphasized that she did not intend to defend her sister. However, Febby considered Virgoun's way of punishing with toy handcuffs to be much better than Inara, who is suspected of committing physical violence.

"So, I'm not justifying punishing children, handcuffing them, no. But giving an example of child domestic violence, being beaten or handcuffed, in the corner and strapped, like we are being strapped by the teacher at school. So, I'm not justifying it, but given these two options, it's better to be handcuffed than to experience extreme domestic violence," she concluded.
