The Third Season of The Wheel of Time has finally released on Prime Video! Adapted from the bestselling fantasy novel by Robert Jordan, this latest season has been exclusively airing since March 13, 2025, in over 240 countries and regions worldwide.

In this season, Rand al'Thor—who was initially just an ordinary farmer—discovers the shocking fact that he is The Dragon Reborn, a legendary figure prophesied to either save or destroy the world. After successfully defeating Ishamael in Season Two, Rand now faces a new threat.

From the chaos in the White Tower, the rebellion of the Black Ajah group, to the remaining Forsaken starting to hunt him down—especially Lanfear, who has a complicated relationship with Rand and can shift the balance between Light and Darkness. With his powers becoming increasingly difficult to control, Moiraine and Egwene must work extra hard to prevent Rand from falling into the dark side.

In this series, an ordinary farmer, Rand al'Thor, discovers that he is The Dragon Reborn—a dangerous figure in history destined to save the world or destroy it. As time turns, and the Last Battle approaches, Rand the Dragon Reborn faces new threats in Season Three after previously defeating Ishamael in Season Two.

This threat also includes the division occurring in the White Tower, the rebellion from the Black Ajah group, and the remaining Forsaken trying to hunt him down—especially Lanfear, as her connection to Rand could potentially shift the balance between Light and Darkness. With her powers becoming increasingly uncontrollable, Moiraine and Egwene must work hard to prevent Rand from falling into darkness.

One of the most anticipated stories from Robert Jordan's books has finally been adapted for the screen, taking viewers to the Aiel Waste, a vast barren land full of challenges, where honor and resilience are everything. The Aiel, a fierce warrior tribe, play a crucial role in Rand's journey. "I am very excited to explore the Aiel world in Season Three.

This is an important part of the long-awaited book by Robert Jordan, " said Rafe Judkins, showrunner and executive producer of The Wheel of Time Season Three. "The Aiel are not just an ordinary group in this story; they have a unique culture, an incredible history, and a strong connection to Rand's journey. Bringing their characters to life on screen while respecting the original book, while also making it feel real and authentic, is one of the most satisfying challenges throughout this series.”

With the death of Ishamael, the strongest followers of the Dark One, the Forsaken, are now rising with more ruthless plans and drastically changing the balance of power. "Lanfear becomes stronger as the series progresses, as she harnesses the true power that has been lost for thousands of years. It’s truly remarkable," said Natasha O’Keeffe, who plays Lanfear.

"He is not just an antagonist, but has a complex personality, captivating charm, and is simultaneously terrifying. His relationship with Rand is so deep, full of intrigue, and very emotional. The question is, can he really be trusted, or is he manipulating everyone around him?" In addition, Moghedien, a master of disguise and deception, is beginning to show her skills. "Moghedien is a Forsaken who operates in unexpected ways, and you don't realize it until it's too late," added Natasha. "She plays the long game, and that makes her all the more dangerous."

The power of Rand al'Thor is becoming increasingly unstoppable to the point of being nearly uncontrollable. However, will he become the savior of the world, or will he destroy it? His closest ones must make a difficult decision: to stay by his side or to stop him before it's too late.

"We begin to see how great Rand's power is as the Dragon Reborn," said Rosamund Pike, who plays Moiraine. "There is a tremendous force within him—a power he fears, opposes, but is also tempted by. Moiraine is now wondering how to continue to control and guide him."

Meanwhile, Rand himself faces a great dilemma. Josha Stradowski, who plays Rand, explains, "Rand has changed. Now, he is more determined to seek the truth, understand the prophecies, and face the great task of defeating the Dark One. He now has greater control over his choices.

At the beginning of this Third Season, there is a strong drive within him; he has an intuition that guides him in a certain direction. This is very different from the Second Season, where he was more about avoiding his destiny and trying to run away. However, at the same time, Rand's journey is still accompanied by his friends, Perrin, Nynaeve, Egwene, and Mat, in this Third Season."

Marcus Rutherford, the actor portraying Perrin Aybara, explains, "Perrin Aybara feels he has had enough of all his past adventures, so he decides to return home to Two Rivers. However, the situation changes when he gets back. He realizes he cannot find the comfort and stability he hoped for, but is instead haunted by anxiety, and now danger threatens the people he loves.

He also faces the greatest challenge to lead them. Although still haunted by guilt, he suddenly must lead his people in difficult times. In Seasons One and Two, he allowed Rand, Nynaeve, and even Egwene to take center stage more. But in this season, seeing him begin to take on the role of a leader becomes one of the most interesting aspects.”

Fans of Robert Jordan's novels will be amazed to see Season Three bring to life some of the most iconic moments from The Shadow Rising.

"This third season is the most authentic adaptation we've ever made, which truly aligns with our vision," said Rafe Judkins, showrunner and executive producer of The Wheel of Time Season Three.

"The First and Second Seasons were more focused on building the characters and the world of The Wheel of Time so that viewers could understand the storyline. Season Three is the most authentic adaptation compared to the previous seasons, and this has always been our plan from the beginning, to ensure that this story can continue to develop in the future.”
