For fans of The Sandman, good news comes from Netflix, which has finally released the first trailer for the series DEAD BOY DETECTIVES after a long wait. This series is a spin-off of The Sandman (2022). Previously, this horror series was scheduled to air on HBO Max. DEAD BOY DETECTIVES tells the story of the journey of two ghosts, Edwin and Charles, who are emotionally connected despite being dead for decades. Edwin, a student who died in 1916 while still in school, is said to have spent time in hell for several decades before successfully escaping and reappearing at the dormitory where he died.

Edwin, who died while still in school in 1916, and Charles, who died suddenly, both have ages that have passed for several decades. They meet by chance and choose to use their second lives as detectives dealing with paranormal cases. Along with the psychic Crystal and their friend Niko, they investigate mysterious cases that cannot be solved by ordinary people.

The first edition of DEAD BOY DETECTIVES was introduced in the comic "The Sandman" in 1991, and since then they have appeared in "Children's Crusade" and "The Books of Magic", as well as in a four-issue series titled "Sandman Presents: Dead Boy Detectives" in 2001.

Directed by Steve Yockey, DEAD BOY DETECTIVES is a spin-off of the series THE SANDMAN (2022). It is expected to air on Netflix in April 2024 with eight episodes filled with horror and mystery elements.
