Film 'AQUAMAN AND THE LAST KINGDOM' Releases Teaser, Amber Heard Doesn't Appear?

Through this teaser, fans can see the return of Jason Momoa as their favorite DC hero facing a familiar face, Black Manta, played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, just like in the first film.

When speaking with Chris Killian from ComicBook.com earlier this year, AQUAMAN director James Wan revealed why fans should be excited about THE LOST KINGDOM, even though the current DC film universe will come to an end.

"Well, Aquaman-even the first film-has always been a very standalone film. That's always been our approach: that this film feels like it lives in its own world, and that's how we're approaching THE LOST KINGDOM too," Wan explained. "You know, people love Jason Momoa; people love him in this role; and people love the visual spectacle of this space and this world. And that's what we're doing: we're taking it to the next level and we're still expanding - and for Aquaman fans, who love Black Manta, this is the next level and I'm really excited to finally show them what we've been working on all this time."

2. Amber Heard's Appearance

Rumors have been circulating about how much screen time Amber Heard will have in the second sequel of AQUAMAN AND THE LOST KINGDOM, and some have theorized that she will be completely removed from AQUAMAN AND THE LOST KINGDOM due to negative reactions. This is because more than 4.62 million people have signed a petition (found on Change.org) demanding her removal.

However, one of the previous film producers has defended the decision to keep Heard in the film, suggesting that no amount of negative internet reactions will result in her removal. Nevertheless, from the 30-second teaser that has been released, Amber Heard is not seen at all. Until the official trailer is released this Thursday, the issue of Amber Heard's presence still cannot be confirmed.
