Prilly Latuconsina's Story of Starting a Career from Scratch, Revealing Never Feeling Star Syndrome Because of This

"Don't ever feel high. Above the sky there is another sky. And I think why I don't have star syndrome, I think I am in this position because the process is long and not easy or fast. Because I started my career when there was no social media, only Friendster," said Prilly Latuconsina at KFC Kemang, recently.

"No one was looking for me on social media, it didn't exist. And when I started my early soap operas, Instagram had just launched. So it was like not many people had Instagram yet. Instagram was only for posting high school photos," added Prilly.

Prilly Latuconsina's success in the entertainment industry was not an easy thing. She truly experienced the struggle from zero to be where she is now. She really felt the competition with other artists because of her acting quality.

"So it's not easy for me to become famous, it really takes a lot of auditions here and there. Competing because of the quality of our acting, not our followers. Because the process is really long and not easy," she said.

"So when I am in the position I am now, I don't feel high. Because the effort is very long and I think if I am in this position, it's because of the huge effort I have put in, and it's been full of blood, sweat, and tears," Prilly added.

Not only that, at the beginning of her career, Prilly also spent a lot of time on shooting locations. What Prilly remembers the most at that time is that she didn't even have a special room at the beginning of her career in the entertainment industry.

"Sleeping on set, there's no separate room at all, going home from morning to morning, even shooting while having typhoid. The struggle is that intense," she said.

Considering her intense struggle, Prilly admitted that it's impossible for her to experience star syndrome or arrogance amidst her popularity as a celebrity.

"So why would I have star syndrome? If I had star syndrome, maybe I would gain popularity quickly without experiencing the struggle," Prilly concluded.
