Kapanlagi.com - AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH opens a new chapter in the world of Pandora with a cast including Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Britain Dalton, Trinity Bliss, Jack Champion, Cliff Curtis, and several other artists. KLovers, the story of this film continues shortly after Jake Sully and his family settle with the Metkayina clan.

The deep sorrow over Neteyam's death still lingers, especially for Neytiri, who now harbors great hatred towards humans. In the midst of mourning, Jake's children help retrieve weapons from the human ship that sank in the ocean.

This time we will not delve deeper into the story, but rather the reviews from the Movieverse (KapanLagi's film-loving community). What do they think of AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH? Let's see what their assessments are :)

1. Alethea Gives a Rating of 8/10

The plot is quite simple, making it easy to understand. Even without watching the previous films, the plot can still be grasped and enjoyed. The ending of the film also serves as a clue for the next film's plot, so it can be confirmed that there will be a continuation of the Avatar franchise.

One of the shortcomings of this film is the screenplay writing, which is not very deep. In fact, there are some scenarios that are a bit cringe and unnecessary. The film could be better if the script were written more naturally. Additionally, it would be even better if the Na'vi spoke more often in their native language.

Besides that, the soundtrack in each scene fits very well. The soundtrack in the film helps the audience 'immerse more' into the plot, serving as a shield that can cover up the less optimal parts of the script.

Moreover, like previous Avatar films, the visuals are certainly one of its main attractions. Each character is crafted with detail and uniqueness. Although the Na'vi characters may seem similar at first glance, each character is given a distinctive uniqueness that stands out.

One of them is a new character named Varang, with his red headpiece and prominent tattoos on his forehead and nose.

Overall, AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH is a beautiful, thrilling, and captivating film. Although this film is recommended for everyone, it is more suitable for fans of fantasy and sci-fi. For those who are not fans of fantasy and sci-fi, this film may seem boring because its duration is longer than most films.

2. Theresia Gives a Rating of 8.9/10

AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH is really that exciting. I don't regret spending over 3 hours on it at all; it wasn't boring at all. The storyline is really good and feels relevant to the current situation, about how greedy humans want to dominate nature, destroying it without thinking about the consequences.

The presence of Varang in this season 3 makes the story even better. Especially when paired with Colonel Miles, it's incredibly cool. You could say they're couple goals: both powerful and charismatic, yes, equally matched. As for Jake Sully, no need to ask, he's extremely manly, and Neytiri is just as fierce.

From a visual standpoint, the details are amazing and feel truly real. Combined with the right sound, it makes each scene even more intense and immersive.

This Avatar season 3 is the first Avatar film I've watched from the entire journey, but it has successfully grabbed my attention. It makes me curious to watch the previous seasons, and I definitely can't wait for the continuation.

Thank you, James Cameron, your perfectionism is in the right place, AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH is a must-watch year-end film! Looking forward to the next breakthrough! -Theresia

3. Ashilah Gives a Rating of 8.5/10

Honestly, I haven't really followed the Avatar movies from the very beginning, but for some reason, when watching the film AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH, I felt connected even though there are still some questions in my mind like "why did the child have to die?" (This scene is in AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER which I haven't watched).

I like the film AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH because the story focuses on the conflict among the Na'vi tribes, where the atmosphere becomes darker and tenser. It can be described as the good Na'vi tribe vs the aggressive Na'vi tribe.

Moreover, in this film, there is a new character named Varang as the Ash people, who leads the aggressive Na'vi tribe filled with selfishness. In this film, I also really like the Sully Family. They are super united, supporting and protecting each other. It really shows how Jake and Neytiri's upbringing has shaped their children's characters.

Aside from the storyline, I think the visuals and cinematography are really great. The visuals remain the same as in the previous Avatar film, but there are small details that are different, such as Jake's (the father's) hair changing to be slightly more curly.

There are many scenes set against fire, lava, smoke, and ash, creating a hot, suffocating, and emotional atmosphere, plus there are many action scenes, which adds to the excitement. But I really do enjoy these kinds of fantasy action films.

Also, the duration is quite long compared to most films which are only 1-2 hours. Actually, I'm not surprised because I also enjoy watching movies that are 2-3 hours long.

So, I quite enjoyed watching this movie and didn't feel like I was wasting time at all. It's perfect for those who love fantasy films like I do. AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH, very spectacular!
