As the mega villain of the MCU, Kang was planned to have his own film titled a standalone film titled AVENGERS: THE KANG DYNASTY. Initially, this film was scheduled to be released on May 2, 2025, but it had to be delayed for a year and will now be released on May 1, 2026. This film will be followed by AVENGERS: SECRET WARS, which is scheduled to be released on May 7, 2027.
Reported by Variety on Monday, (12/18/2023), Marvel executives, led by Kevin Feige, discussed various possibilities regarding Jonathan Majors' case. These include finding another actor to portray Kang, canceling The Kang Dynasty, or redesigning the rest of the Multiverse Saga.
After Marvel confirmed that Majors is no longer part of the project, a major overhaul is likely to occur. Replacing the cast is not new for Marvel, previously in the first IRON MAN, James Rhodes, played by Terrence Howard, was replaced by Don Cheadle after Howard refused to return due to salary disputes.
A similar situation happened with Edward Norton, who played Bruce Banner in THE INCREDIBLE HULK, and was replaced by Mark Ruffalo in THE AVENGERS. There is also the late William Hurt, who played Thunderbolt Ross and will be replaced by Harrison Ford in the upcoming project, CAPTAIN AMERICA: NEW WORLD ORDER.

In the trial held in New York, United States (US), the jury found Majors guilty of the assault he committed against his former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, during their argument in March.
As reported by BBC, Tuesday (19/12/2023), the court stated that the violence committed by Majors began when the couple was in a car in New York and Jabbari saw a text message from another woman on Majors' mobile phone. The short message read, "If only I could kiss you now." became the trigger for the conflict that led to Majors' violence against Jabbari.
According to the prosecutor, when Jabbari tried to take the phone, Majors tried to grab it, then twisted her hand behind her back and hit her head to regain possession of the phone.
Jabbari suffered critical injuries with a broken finger and ear injury as evidence of the incident. In addition to committing assault, the actor even forbade his ex-girlfriend from seeking treatment for her injuries at the hospital, claiming it was for their own protection.
Jonathan Majors has been found guilty of two charges, namely third-degree assault and second-degree intimidation. Majors was found guilty of assault by recklessly causing physical injury, as well as harassment. However, the jury declined to convict him of the charges of harassment and assault causing physical injury.
