Recently, K-Charts and Stats uploaded a list of K-Pop groups with the highest sales from 1992 to 2019. The list also includes sales of first generation K-Pop groups that debuted in the 1990s.
According to Allkpop, on Tuesday (11/6/2019), here are the top 10 K-Pop groups with the most album sales from 1992 to 2019.
At the tenth place is a band called COOL. This old band managed to sell a total of 4.9 million albums throughout their career.
DJ DOC secured the ninth position with sales of 5.1 million albums throughout their career. DJ DOC is a hip hop trio that debuted in 1994.
Groove Over Dose or g.o.d. successfully sold more than 5.1 million albums throughout their career. With a narrow margin, g.o.d. managed to reach one level above DJ DOC.
At seventh place is the girl group under SM Entertainment, Girls' Generation. This group, which debuted with 9 members, successfully sold 5.3 million albums.
TWICE can be said to be very impressive. This is because they managed to enter the top ten of this list only a few years after their debut. Throughout their career, the group under JYP Entertainment successfully sold more than 5.6 million albums.
Looking at the success of H.O.T in the 1990s, it is only natural for this group to occupy the fifth position on this list. H.O.T successfully sold more than 6.5 million albums.
Seo Taiji and Boys are in fourth place with sales reaching 8 million albums.
EXO is in fourth place with sales reaching over 11 million albums. This group, which debuted in 2012, is known for having loyal and quite a large fan base.
EXO's agency's older brother, TVXQ, ranks second on this list. Throughout their career, TVXQ has sold over 12 million albums.
And here is the champion, the group with the highest album sales of all time. BTS, who has now become a global phenomenon, is truly deserving of this ranking. Their fans, spread across the world, have made their albums sell like hotcakes. BTS has sold nearly 16.3 million albums throughout their career.
