'THE JUDGE FROM HELL' features Park Shin Hye as Kang Bit Na, a devil who falls into the human world and possesses the body of a woman who works as a judge.

Bit Na herself is the anti-hero protagonist in this series, with a mission to send 10 unrepentant sinners to hell.

For the first time playing an evil role, Park Shin Hye highlights the moral ambiguity and complexity of her character.

"The criminals we usually think of are those who harm others or commit serious crimes against society. Bit Na, rather than being called a criminal, is more like a devil — a being that enjoys playing and manipulating situations. She is more like a mischievous creature than a criminal," she said.

As Park Shin Hye's co-star, there is Kim Jae Young who plays Han Da On, a warm-hearted detective with a sharp instinct from the Violent Crimes Unit 2 at the Nobong Police Station.

Next, there is Kim In Kwon who portrays the character Gu Man Do, a demon who works as Bit Na's assistant at the Central District Court of Seoul.

Meanwhile, Kim A Young plays Lee Ah Rong, a demon overseeing the damned sinners who have been sent down to the human world due to a mistake in duty.

Director Park Jin Pyo himself describes 'THE JUDGE FROM HELL' as a dramatic reinterpretation of the ancient Code of Hammurabi, emphasizing themes of revenge and justice.

Although set in a courtroom, the series explores a fantasy world where hell's law and the principle of "an eye for an eye" take center stage.
