The altar is filled with offerings consisting of sweets, auspicious fruits, and porcelain, all of which are antique items over a hundred years old since the reign of King Rama V.
Next is the Phang Teh ceremony or tea drinking ceremony held to honor the elders. This procession takes place in the decorated hall of the house with lucky flowers in crystal vases.
Its uniqueness lies in the decoration of male papaya flowers in antique blue silk vases recreated based on old photos of Chinese Peranakan.
The ceremony ended with the newlyweds toasting champagne and plum juice on the front steps of the Hongyok family mansion, accompanied by family and close friends who were also happy.
Nong Poy herself really wanted to have a traditional wedding ceremony with all its elements, including using antique items from the Hongyok family as much as possible.
Truly inheriting ancestral culture, the resemblance between Nong Poy's wedding and an old photo from the Jade Swan family lineage can be seen, which is the wedding of Luang Anuphas Phuket and Ny. Lui Hoon in 1903.
