According to the court, Kang Kyung Joon was sued for 50 million Won (approximately Rp 592.24 million) on December 26, 2023.
In the lawsuit, the actor is claimed to have had an affair with the plaintiff's wife. "Kang Kyung Joon disturbed our marriage and ruined it," said the plaintiff.
It is said that Kang Kyung Joon and the plaintiff's wife used to work in the same building as colleagues. The actor is accused of having an affair with the plaintiff's wife despite knowing that she is a married woman.
"Kang Kyung Joon had an affair with my wife even though he knew she was a married woman. I will provide evidence to prove this," added the plaintiff.
When hearing the accusation, Kang Kyung Joon responded with confusion. When asked about the lawsuit by DongA Ilbo, the actor stated that there was a misunderstanding.
"I don't know why this happened. I haven't seen the lawsuit, but in my opinion, there is a misunderstanding," said Kang Kyung Joon.
When asked if he was having an affair with the plaintiff's wife, Kang Kyung Joon answered by stating, "I don't know why I should tell you that."
Furthermore, the actor requested more time and stated that he will release an official statement regarding the issue.
