12 K-Pop Groups Win Their First Trophy with Debut Song

They even won their first trophy from a music show just 13 days after their debut. BLACKPINK achieved their first win on SBS Inkigayo with their song titled Whistle. In addition, their debut song also dominated 8 popular music streaming sites in South Korea, namely MelOn, Monkey3, Olleh Music, Naver Music, Bugs, Mnet, Soribada, and Genie. Netizens nicknamed them 'Beast Rookie' because they were able to break records and achieve success in a short period of time.

2. Wanna One

The group formed from PRODUCE 101 SEASON 2 has attracted a lot of public attention. Even though they have disbanded, Wanna One, who debuted on August 8, 2017, has achieved many accomplishments. One of them is winning their first trophy in a music show just a few days after their debut. Not only that, their debut main song, Energetic, topped the charts 15 times.

3. AB6IX

6. TXT

TXT who debuted under BigHit Entertainment is predicted to follow the footsteps of their seniors, BTS. Their successful debut with CROWN as the title track, TXT also achieved their first win on a music show just two weeks after their debut. With a score of 7,190, they surpassed their seniors (G)I-DLE with 6,439 and LOONA with 2,361 on SBS MTV's The Show.

7. IZ*ONE

IZ*ONE is a girl group from PRODUCE 48, the 3rd season of the survival show Produce on Mnet. They debuted with 12 members on October 29, 2018. Their single titled La Vie en Rose achieved their first win on M COUNTDOWN just 10 days after their debut. They broke the record as the fastest girl group to achieve their first win, previously held by BLACKPINK with 13 days after their debut.

8. ITZY

Girl group from JYP Entertainment has gained immense popularity since its debut. They debuted on February 11, 2019, with their title track DALLA DALLA, and ITZY won their first trophy on M COUNTDOWN just 9 days after their debut. They became the fastest girl group to achieve a first win, surpassing the record of IZ*ONE who won their first trophy after 10 days of debut. The girl crush concept, which suits the members well, has made ITZY a beloved rookie monster among their fans.

9. X1

Groups that come out of the survival show Produce have always proven to be successful and have received a lot of attention since their debut. X1, formed through PRODUCE X 101, the 4th season of the Produce series, is no exception. Although they didn't last long, X1, who debuted on August 27, 2019, achieved their first win in just 5 days. They won their first trophy on SBS MTV's The Show with their single titled 'Flash'.
