F4 THAILAND: BOYS OVER FLOWERS is currently airing. This story is adapted from the Japanese comic, Hana Yori Dango. Previously, the love story of these handsome guys who are part of F4 has been adapted and inspired many dramas from various countries. And here are the dramas or series!
This is the first adaptation of Hana Yori Dango in the form of a Japanese film that aired in 1995. It's short, only 78 minutes long.

After the success of METEOR GARDEN, in Indonesia there was a soap opera titled Siapa Takut Jatuh Cinta (Who's Afraid of Falling in Love) starring Indra Brugman, Leony, Roger Danuarta, Steven Immanuel, and Jonathan Frizzy. The story in the beginning was very similar, but after protests, the story was changed.
Japan finally adapted the comic Hana Yori Dango with Jun Matsumoto as the star. This Japanese version is considered one of the best by fans.
Another popular version is BOYS BEFORE FLOWERS from South Korea, which made Lee Min Ho famous until now.
China once made a drama titled METEOR SHOWER. But this is said to not be an official adaptation, just inspired. According to its producer, the Chinese version can be considered very different from other versions. The main idea only revolves around four handsome men and a girl loved by a conglomerate. The rest is original from the drama story writer.
BOYS BEFORE FRIENDS is called the American version made in 2013. The story idea is the same, still about four wealthy young men and a poor girl. The difference is that there is a dance element shown in this drama. Because the setting is taken at an art school. By the way, this is not an official adaptation.
Like an Indian series, Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan, also known as the Indian version of Boys Over Flowers, has many episodes, up to hundreds. The difference is that it's not F4 here, but Fab5, which is portrayed as a famous band at S.P.A.C.E Academy. This is not an official adaptation either.
Next is the official adaptation of the Chinese version, which aired in 2017, starring Dylan Wang and Shen Yue. The names are similar to those in the Taiwanese version of Meteor Garden.
Siapa Takut Jatuh Cinta (Who's Afraid of Falling in Love) was remade in 2017 with the addition of 'reborn'. It is portrayed by Verrell Bramasta and Natasha Wilona, and it is said to be inspired by Meteor Garden.
Boys Over Flowers 2 is a continuation of the Japanese version starring Jun Matsumoto back then.
