1MILLION Brings K-Pop Dance Energy to Jakarta Through "THE BEAT OF K-DANCE"

Kapanlagi.com - THE BEAT OF K-DANCE with 1MILLION is a collaborative program between the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, KOREA 360, and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA).

Five renowned choreographers from 1MILLION Dance Studio, namely Lia Kim, Kooyoung Back, K Chan, Yechan, and Hyewon, will be present in Jakarta to share the unique energy of K-Pop Dance with fans. This dance studio from Seoul is known as one of the pioneers of iconic choreography often performed by top K-Pop idols.

1. 1MILLION Dance Studio

Founded in 2014 in Seoul, 1MILLION Dance Studio now has over 26 million followers on YouTube and is widely recognized for its works with famous K-Pop idols. From the iconic choreography of TWICE's "TT" to EXO's "Love Shot", the name 1MILLION is inseparable from the modern K-Pop world.

Their choreographers also have an impressive track record. Lia Kim, for example, is known for her works with TWICE, Sunmi, and Girls Generation. Meanwhile, Kooyoung Back has collaborated with EXO, Taemin, and Kep1er. Yechan, Hyewon, and K Chan also have a long list of collaborations with major artists such as SHINee, ITZY, and NCT U. With these various achievements, the presence of 1MILLION in Jakarta is not just an entertainment show, but also part of a cultural celebration that strengthens the ties between Korea and Indonesia.

2. About KOREA 360 and KOCCA

Since its establishment at LOTTE Mall Jakarta in December 2022, KOREA 360 has become a platform for the publication of products, entertainment, and Korean culture. In just one year, they have organized over 100 events with a total of nearly 1.7 million visitors, as well as presenting thousands of products from hundreds of Korean brands.

Meanwhile, KOCCA Indonesia, as the first KOCCA branch in Southeast Asia since 2016, has consistently supported the promotion of Korean creative content, ranging from music, games, comics, to animation.

3. Event Series

This event not only features dance performances but also presents interactive programs. One of them is a dance battle, where selected participants compete in front of professional judges: Lia Kim and Kooyoung Back from 1MILLION, as well as Brandon De Angelo, a professional dancer from Indonesia. Brandon's presence adds a collaborative atmosphere that brings together local talent with international standards.

Not stopping there, fans also get a rare opportunity through the Exclusive Fansigning session, which allows for closer interaction with the members of 1MILLION.

In addition to the competition and fansigning, KOREA 360 also held a MoU signing and Handprinting Placement Ceremony, adding historical value to this event. The highlight of the event was closed with a special performance from all five members of 1MILLION, who showcased their legendary choreography to amaze the hundreds of fans filling the event location.

The success of this event underscores KOREA 360's role as a center for promoting Korean culture in Indonesia, while also strengthening the mission of cultural exchange between Korea and Indonesia.
