5 K-Pop Idols Who Have Ever Filled Japanese Anime Soundtracks, Including BoA to TXT!

1. BoA

BoA is known as one of the soloists from South Korea who is also active in Japan. In 2002, BoA was trusted to perform the theme song for the famous anime Inuyasha. The song, written by Natsumi Watanabe, was released in three language versions: Japanese, English, and Korean.

In 201x, BoA was trusted again to perform the theme song for the anime Fairy Tail. This single is the 15th opening song for the anime and was first played in episode 176 of the Fairy Tail series and ended in episode 188.

2. Secret

Who would have thought that this South Korean girl group has ever contributed to the soundtrack of the anime Naruto. Secret performed the ending song for the Naruto series titled Twinkle Twinkle. Not in the main series, the four members of Secret performed Twinkle Twinkle for the spin-off series titled Naruto SD: Rock Lee and his Ninja Pals.

This spin-off series focuses on the daily lives of Naruto's friend, Rock Lee, and Team Guy in the village of Konohagakure.

3. 2PM

In 2011, boy group 2PM released their first Japanese single titled Take Off. The single was released in four album versions and was also accompanied by the use of the song Take Off as the opening theme for the anime Blue Exorcist.

This song was used as the first opening theme for the first season of the anime Blue Exorcist.

4. Stray Kids

Boy group under JYP Entertainment, debuted in 2017 and also contributed to the soundtrack of the anime Tower of God which aired in 2020. Stray Kids performed all the opening and ending songs for the anime adaptation of the webtoon series Naver with the same title.

Stray Kids performed the single titled Top as the opening song and Slump as the ending song. The soundtrack of this anime produced by Telecom Animation Film was released in three language versions: Japanese, Korean, and English.

5. TXT

The popularity of TXT is not a joke when they received two offers to fill the anime soundtrack even before they reached two years since their debut. In 2020, TXT was trusted to fill the 12th opening song for the anime Black Clover. The single titled Everlasting Shine received positive responses from both TXT fans and Black Clover.

In the following year, TXT was trusted again to fill the theme song for the anime World Trigger. The song titled Force was used as the opening song for the second season of the anime series. World Trigger fans were very enthusiastic because this was a comeback of the anime since its first season aired in 2016.
