5 Unforgettable Moments at Young K DAY6 Concert in Jakarta, Performing Their Own Band's Song - Cover Sheila On 7

Kapanlagi.com - After four years since their last concert together with DAY6, Young K finally greeted MYDAY in Jakarta through his solo concert titled Letter with Notes on Saturday (28/10/2023).

The concert opened with the song 'Waited' which is included in the album 'Letters with Notes' released last September. Young K appeared from behind the stage wearing a formal black and white outfit, and was greeted with cheers from MYDAY. Some of the songs Young K sang include 'Best Song', 'What Is...', 'Nothing But', 'Guard You', and many others.

This DAY6 bassist always performs one or two songs from his band during solo concerts. Including in Indonesia this time, YOUNG K chose the song 'Time of Our Life' which is included in the album 'The Book Of Us: Gravity' released in 2019.

This fast-tempo song makes MYDAY even more enthusiastic and can heal the longing for DAY6 who haven't held a concert in Indonesia for four years. The difference this time is that YOUNG K doesn't play his bass like when he's with DAY6. However, his powerful voice is able to give spirit to the audience. Unfortunately, YOUNG K only performed one DAY6 song in this concert.

In his first solo concert greeting MYDAY, Young K expressed his gratitude for being in Jakarta this time thanks to the fans who called him. During the ment last night, Young K used English to communicate with MYDAY.

"Hello, I'm Young K. I think tonight will be a crazy, fun, and legendary night. I feel very honored to be here. Thank you," he said.

"Are you ready tonight? Are you ready for Young K? Are you ready for Brian?" then greeted with cheers from the fans.

That night, Young K also introduced himself with various professions. It was mentioned that he could also be a rapper, bassist, songwriter, but he emphasized that the most important thing is that he is a singer.

In addition to his solo debut, Young K also has a project with a guitarist accompanying him while singing. That night he performed several popular songs with his own unique touch, namely 'Reality', 'Viva La Vida', and 'I'm Yours'.

But what surprised everyone the most was when Young K performed the song 'Anugerah Terindah Yang Pernah Kumiliki' by Sheila On 7. Actually, this is not the first time Young K has sung Indonesian songs. Previously, during a concert with DAY6, Young K also covered the song 'Separuh Aku'. However, last night's moment surprised MYDAY as they didn't expect that Indonesian songs would still be one of Young K's main setlists in his concert.

That night, MYDAY and Young K felt like they completed each other by being each other's motivators. There was a moment when fans cheered because of Young K's actions, which made Young K smile happily.

"Thank you, you are the best gift in my life." he expressed.

5. Touched by Fans' Video

In every concert, there is always a fans' project, including Young K's concert last night. MYDAY created a video that depicted how Young K's songs are very meaningful in their lives. Young K was so captivated by the video shown on the screen during the concert last night.

In the end, Young K was so touched by the fans' video that he exclaimed in amazement, "WOW WOW WOW!" after the video ended.

The Letter With Notes concert was truly impressive for Young K and MYDAY, to the point that Young K even came down from the stage to approach MYDAY and greet them by waving his hand around the venue while the song Let It Be Summer played.

Hopefully, yesterday's 2.5-hour concert won't be the last for Young K's solo concert in Indonesia, KLovers. We hope for his return!
