Activities of the 7 Members of GOT7 After Leaving JYP Entertainment

Every music group from South Korea cannot possibly operate on their own. They cannot debut and carry out their activities as a group without an agency. The biggest music agencies in South Korea are SM Entertainment, YG Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and HYBE Labels.

Every group surely has their own contract period with their respective agencies. When the contract expires, they are given the option to renew the contract or end it without renewal. One group whose contract has expired and did not renew it with the agency is GOT7. They chose to leave JYP Entertainment but they still carry their group name, GOT7.

The seven members of GOT7, namely JAY B, Jinyoung, Youngjae, Mark, Jackson, Yugyeom, and BamBam may no longer be labelmates after their departure from JYP Entertainment, but their bond as a group still exists, as they have shown to the audience through the single ENCORE.

The members have joined different companies to pursue their solo careers, and it is heartwarming to witness them further develop in their individual activities.

1. JAY B

JAY B changed his stage name from JB when he joined H1GHR MUSIC and has since focused on his music career. He started his new solo journey by releasing "Switch It Up" featuring rapper sokodomo.

A few months later, he continued with the release of his EP "SOMO:FUME," with Jay Park appearing on the main track "B.T.W." He also participated in "The King of Mask Singer" as "Toad's House." Recently, JAY B released "I'm Surfin'" as part of the "Feel the Rhythm of Korea 2" promotional campaign on September 3.

2. Mark

After his contract ended, Mark packed his belongings and bid farewell to all the GOT7 members before heading to his hometown, Los Angeles.

His first activity after returning to Los Angeles was releasing a collaboration song titled "One in a Million" with Sanjoy. A few months later, he signed a contract with the American talent and sports agency, Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Mark uploaded his farewell with the GOT7 members before leaving Korea on his YouTube channel. Now he often does live streams while playing games.

3. Jinyoung

Jinyoung has signed a contract with the famous acting agency, BH Entertainment, and he has dominated the small screen this summer with his new drama "The Devil Judge," in which he stars alongside actor Ji Sung. His acting has been praised by drama writer Moon Yoo Suk, who highly commended his sincerity and seriousness in portraying the role.

He has also released his self-produced new digital single "DIVE," which was announced a few hours after the scheduled release, surprising his fans. He will also appear in the drama "Yumi's Cells," where he will play the role of a popular, handsome, and sweet office worker.

4. Jackson

Shortly after Jackson's contract with JYP Entertainment ended, his label TEAM WANG signed a business agreement with Sublime Artist Agency. This new partnership will cover global business including Korea and China. A few months later, Jackson blessed fans with his collaboration with Rain on "MAGNETIC" as a b-side track on Rain's latest album.

Jackson then released his single "LMLY (Leave Me Loving You)," which he performed on "The Late Late Show with James Corden." Recently, Jackson released an English collaboration with Internet Money titled "Drive You Home," where he once again directed his own music video.

5. Youngjae

Another member who is busy acting besides Jinyoung is Youngjae, who signed a contract with Sublime Artist Agency. He got a leading role as Ha Ram in the musical "Midnight Sun," which was performed from May 1 to July 25.

This idol actor also joined the cast of the Netflix sitcom "So Not Worth It" as one of the multinational group of students living together in a university dormitory in Seoul. He is currently working on his album, hoping to release it before the end of the year.

6. Bambam

BamBam is now part of Abyss Company, home to artists like Sunmi and Sandara Park. His new solo adventure started with the release of his first mini album "riBBon" and the title track with the same name.

His debut was immediately welcomed with lots of love, as "riBBon," both the album and the song, topped the iTunes charts worldwide.

7. Yugyeom

Yugyeom was welcomed by AOMG immediately after he parted ways with JYP Entertainment. Just six months after joining, the singer officially made his debut as a soloist with his first album "Point Of View: U," in which he chose "All Your Fault" featuring Gray as the title track. His pre-release song "I Want U Around" featuring DeVita received much love, as it topped the iTunes charts worldwide.
