After 12 Years Together, AKMU Will Leave YG Entertainment and Start a New Journey

After careful consideration about their future in the music industry, Lee Chan Hyuk and Lee Su Hyun decided to try new things as independent artists.

According to YG's statement, six months ago, executive producer Yang Hyun Suk had a meeting with AKMU at their home. During this meeting, they reminisced about AKMU's journey since participating in "K-Pop Star Season 2" until now, while also discussing the dilemma between staying at YG or trying new challenges.
